Oh yes that favorite day of the school year... School Photos!

Its so fun seeing all the little kids sporting their best hair styles and new outfits. Its as if its back to being the first day of school or... once again.. being reminded of all the bad school photos I have taken in my life time! I mean how can I forgot my one school photo where I sported a permed bob with hot pink glasses one year.

Saying goodbye to a friend

Tonight I said goodbye to a dear friend who is moving to the east coast due to both her and her husband getting new jobs. He was transferred earlier this summer so it was nice that she was able to stay behind and have a month with us girls! I wish her nothing but the best and I look forward to having a new vacation destination. I will always remember the fun times Ms. L.

Carousel Ride

Our trip to Paris is right around the corner and one of the sites that I am most excited for (yes, just a tish more than going shopping in the Marais and St. Germain district) is to take a ride on the Hotel de Ville Carousel!

As I sit watching the Emmys on my sofa being sick with a sore throat and a high fever all that I can think of that would make me feel the slightest bit better would be a bowl of ice cream with chocolate chips.

Weekend Picnic

Tonight is my school wide picnic and its so much fun seeing all the students with their families! Plus, seeing this photo reminds me of having picnics with my mom when I was little. We would always go to a park for lunch on Saturdays.

Oh to be a little girl again.. This would have been my dream bedroom as I loved Barbies when I was a little girl... in fact I still do and I can't wait to play Barbies with my little niece, this Christmas.

How adorable is this print?!! I LOVE it! It's available from dazychic on Etsy who happens to be one of my favorite sellers. For those of you who do not know me I work as a School Social Worker so this would be absolutely perfect for my office.

What good deed did you do today?

French Love

My husband and I leave for Paris next month and I already know I am going to love the city! In addition to eating a lot of great food and enjoying the fine wine, we plan on visiting the Beaches of Normandy and touring the champagne countryside.
