Wine Country

We are off to Sonoma California today where we will be celebrating a friends wedding this weekend. Several of us friends have rented a home that sits on a Pinoit Noir Vineyard. I am looking forward to visiting some of the local vineyards as well as being able to enjoy some fine wine!

Friday's Party: Baby Baptism

My daughter is being baptized on Saturday and I am so excited for her special day as she will not only be wearing the dress I wore on my baptism, but most of all having her be blessed with Gods endless love.
I ordered several speciality items for her special day and I can't wait to highlight them next week. In the meantime, I can't stop admiring these beautiful baptism cakes via the pink cake box.

Monday Madness

Ready or not its a new week and it also happens to be spring break for me! I will be enjoying my week by enjoying beautiful 80-90 degree weather, taking in a Dodgers spring training game, getting a pedicure with my sister and nieces, having my nieces and nephew over for a cousins slumber party, and most of celebrating the baptism of my daughter! I also, have a feeling little Miss E is going to be spoiled with lots of love and attention this week.
Have a wonderful Monday!

St. Patty's Day Desserts

If you are like me, you caved in and bought some girl scout cookies. Thin Mints please. Granted, I think girl scout cookies are way overpriced {but, being that I was the cookie selling champ back in my short lived days of being a girl scout} I feel as if I still need to support them. So, how about taking those thin mints cookies up a notch by making thin mint truffles? I don't even think Godiva could compete with this!

& if the truffles are not enough to get your taste buds drooling, how about these Mint Chocolate Brownies

Seriously, how yummy?!?!

Read Across America

Today is Dr. Seus's birthday aka Read Across America Day! Reading has always been a favorite past time of mine even when I was a young child. Today, I will help pass on the love of reading to several students at school where I will be a guest reader and help celebrate the joy of reading with cake and party hats!

What was your favorite book/s as a child?

Mine was I am a Bunny by Richard Scarry and now I read this book weekly to my newborn daughter.

PS: Those with little ones that are not in school yet, and would like to take in a reading event check out your local Potterybarn Kids store as they will be hosting a special story time today!
