Hi Everyone,
I am doing another book review for TLC Book Tours and this week it is for Woodrow the White House Mouse by Peter W. Barnes and Cheryl Shaw Barnes. If you remember my first post here, you read about Woodrow's journey of going thru the election process.
In Woodrow the White House Mouse we get to partake in celebrating Woodrow's victory, learn what its like to be the President, and what life is like in the big white house! Woodrow the White House Mouse does a nice job explaining the President's role, how the President either passes or vetoes bills, and explains the different policies and groups of people the President works with on a daily basis.
An extra feature young readers will discover is that there is a hidden illustration of the Presidential Seal on each page! I think that is a very creative detail.
I found Woodrow the White House Mouse to be an informative book for young readers and very useful in teaching younger children about the U.S. Government.
Thank you TLC Book Tours for allowing me to review another great read!

Favorites from Lulu
Over the past year I have building upon my Lululemon collection and my most recent purchase is this pale pink no limits tank seen here. I love the longer length and the thick band on it. It also makes a nice top to wear when I am playing with Miss E at the park and running errands on my days off.
Another item I lived in over the summer was this pace setter skirt. Apparently, its one of their number one sellers and the stores are often sold out. I was lucky enough to have gone in the day they received a new shipment. The skirt however, runs small so I had to go up a size. I have it in black, but this angel blue color is very pretty.
and for my favorite pair of work out pants they are the 'Live In' fitted Capri pants by Zella sold at Nordstrom. The Zella brand is very similar to lululemon but cheaper. The quality is wonderful. I have had my pair for almost two years now and they still look brand new! I like to think of these pants as my little bargain secret when it comes to workout bottoms. I have also recommend these pants to friends who have gone to purchase them and also love them. PS: Catch them on their anniversary sale and they are the same price as the Champion pants at Target!
So, now that my wrist has healed ( I injured it in yoga a few weeks ago), and things have starting to settle down, I actually had time last week to work out more than once last week. This is a good thing as I have a few pounds I need to lose before I gain it back with Christmas kiss cookies. lol

What I'm Loving this Week
I came across the most adorable knit hats I have ever seen by sweet baby dolly. The only problem is I can't decide which one is my favorite as I want to order them all for Miss E.
Adorable hats for boys and girls of all ages.
I love the chunkiness and the bow on this hat. Pretty sure this is my favorite style. Thinking of having the color changed so Miss E can wear it with her fall/ winter coat.

New Fall Wardrobe Pieces
Our recent trip to Minneapolis was one of the best visits we have had and having no tax on clothing is an added bonus!
Miss E was lucky enough to snag these two items which happened to be on sale with an additional 25% off.
I love swing tops and she wore this smocked button top for our family and cousin photo
and the perfect fall/ winter coat for us here in Texas

Wednesday Words
There are moments and even days when you just need a laugh to bring things back into perspective.
and after having a fabulous long weekend in Minneapolis with friends and family we encountered an airport nightmare like no other on our way home. All I have to say is, I hope to avoid the Dallas airport for some time. A long time! More on that later... So, when all you want to do is throw a fit and start getting sassy with the counter people for how they are treating you I need to remind myself of two things
1) I can either cry or 2) I can laugh. I like option 2 especially when I see this...
and when someone takes your sandwich you ordered and the food voucher they give you is not accepted anywhere because the airline is going bankrupt well, you just have to... laugh.
I know I need to do my duty and vote but I can't say I am very impressed with our choices this election year.

Friday's Party: Super Hero Birthday Party
Friday's party feature this week is a SUPER adorable vintage Super Hero birthday party by Rebecca at the Crafted Sparrow!
How amazing is this backdrop?!
So many wonderful details went into the food/ dessert table.
My favorite is the comic paper popcorn holders.
Super Hero Drink Station
Great looking cupcakes!
Can't be a super hero without a cape!
Rebecca made each of the party guests a cape with the birthday boy having his own special cape.
Pretty sure Captain America would be impressed with this party!
The best part is, Rebecca threw this party on a budget with many great finds from the local dollar tree!

Friday's Party: Sprinkles!
This Sprinkled with Love Birthday Party by Kojo designs is one of the cutest parties and themes I have ever seen. I'm not going to lie... its already bookmarked and is on the list for a future party for Miss E.
I love that the details and activities are very kid friendly. The dessert was all easy and non messy items such as sprinkled donuts, sprinkled pretzel sticks and sprinkled cookie sticks. All adorable treats that small party guests love.
The activities where super kid friendly with each party guest receiving a water bottle to go and "sprinkle" the plants, sidewalk, and each other. There was also a coloring station and the most adorable idea ever.... they were given accessories covered in sprinkles.
