DIY Crafts

I am currently "retired" from my professional job so I am trying to tackle my craft list between library time, moving, naps, laundry and tackling toddler tantrums!
Here are some adorable projects I am wanting to tackle despite my lack in craftiness.

I love these Initial fabric letters.                                                                   Canvas Quote Art.
I am really wanting to make                                                                          Simple and an inexpensive way to decorate

Friday's Party: Zoo Time

Since, zoos are child friendly what better place to host a birthday party than at the zoo and plus who doesn't enjoy hanging out at the zoo, especially if you're a child.
Here are two really cute, zoo themed birthday parties to share with you all via CAKE events.

Life Lately...

Life lately has been a roller coaster with some up and downs these past few weeks but I think we are finally on the up side of things.

Our 4th of July was mostly cloudy with a few rain showers! Yes, rain and it was welcomed with open arms here in the desert.
Playing in the rain

and onto some exciting news...not only will be making the move to Austin in 3 weeks but our offer was accepted over the weekend and it was our 1st pick! This home came on the market the day we arrived in Austin and the owners wanted a fast sale and we wanted a fast buy.  Needless to say I think it was really meant to be. I am so excited to have a big backyard with trees,  running trails that are literally in our backyard, we will be 10 mins from the beautiful Lake Travis, and one of the three swimming pools that are in our development is down the street.

I also can't believe summer is half over with. It always seems that as soon as the 4th of July passes summer goes even faster. Any one else agree?

So, if I could describe your summer in one word what would it be?
Mine would be- roller coaster!
