I had a my winter wonderland after all. Luckily, we did not get stuck anywhere and we made it to all of our destinations safe and sound despite driving 6 1/2 hrs in a blizzard after a 3 hr flight. We had a fabulous time seeing our family and friends and making some memorable Christmas memories.
I hope you all had a nice holiday that was spent with those that you love.
Here is a recap of my winter wonderland vacation that was held at my sister's lake home in Minnesota.
Enjoy!
Oh my goodness that looks amazing! The only snow we had in New Orleans was the kind that comes out of the snow machines at this beautifully decorated corridor between the Harrah's hotel and the casino. They call it Miracle on Fulton Street and every hour on the hour it "snows" and the lights that decorate the canopy twinkle in synch with the Christmas carols being played. Although it's not a real winter wonderland, you'd never know it! We had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by our family and friends, and we were so sad when it was time to head back to Beaufort. This will be our last traveling Christmas since next year at this time we will be residents of New Orleans again. There is no place like home for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteWow - your sisters' lake home is BEAUTIFUL. I haven't been there since it was built - last time I was there they just had the garage! What a fun winter get away for you guys!
