I Heart NYC

We really enjoyed ourselves on our long weekend getaway to New York/ New Jersey. It was great to spend time with my good friend, Sara who lives about 20 minutes from New York City. It was so much fun seeing her little girl Miss L and Miss E play together. They had so much fun as they spent time together at the park, beach, and even taking baths together every night. They also happen to be pen pals with one another.

Our first day in the city was spent going to Laduree. It was just as great as I remember it being when I was in Paris two years ago.

We then we strolled over to Central Park where we had a picnic lunch. I definitely left a piece of my heart in Central Park. It is truly one of the most romantic sites I have seen. Next time I am there I want to go on a row boat.

Then we made our way over to FAO Schwarz toy store. Elle picked out a soft pink bunny that her daddy bought for her.
She was pretty excited about her new toy and then we went upstairs where Elle played on the big piano.

The next day we went to Point Pleasant in New Jersey. We spent sometime on the beach and strolling the board walk. This was miss E's first time actually being at a beach and she loved it.

On Sunday we went back into the city and strolled around the West Village/ Soho neighborhood. Our first stop of the day was Magnolia bakery where we enjoyed cupcakes and banana pudding for breakfast. Then it was off to exploring the streets and doing a little bit of shopping.

It was a quick weekend as I wasn't able to see everything I would have liked but I guess that just gives me another reason to come back!

  1. You look so pretty standing by that store front! Great picture!

  2. Looks like a WONDERFUL trip you had!!!!!

  3. The pictures are all great. I just love NYC. It is one of my favorite areas of the US. Next time you will have to walk the Brooklyn Bridge - it's great to take the subway over to Brooklyn and then walk back towards Manhattan. So much to do and see! I can't wait to go back, but am not sure when I will be able to fit it in...

  4. The pictures are AMAZING! It looks like you had a photojournalist shadowing you the whole time!

  5. Sounds like a fabulous trip! I am itching to go back to NYC too! xxoo :)
