Celebrating One Year in Texas

This past weekend we celebrated our one year of living in Austin at the beautiful Barton Creek Resort and Spa. How time flies! This is where our adventure all started one year ago when we made the move from Arizona. We needed a place to stay for a few nights until we closed on our home so Barton Creek became our "home" for several days. Such wonderful memories of our first days of living in Texas were held here that we thought it would be fun to come back each year for a weekend, as we start making this a family tradition .

Summer 2013

Miss Elle could not get enough of the pool and we of course enjoyed their yummy chocolate chip cookies. Swimming and jumping sure works up an appetite.
Milk happy hour time at the pool

and what goes with milk?
Only the best chocolate chip cookies do!

Looking back and seeing how much our baby girl has grown and changed from last summer to this summer is just crazy and it also makes me a little sad.

Life Lately...

Life lately has been a roller coaster with some up and downs these past few weeks but I think we are finally on the up side of things.

Our 4th of July was mostly cloudy with a few rain showers! Yes, rain and it was welcomed with open arms here in the desert.

and onto some exciting news...not only will be making the move to Austin in 3 weeks but our offer was accepted over the weekend and it was our 1st pick! This home came on the market the day we arrived in Austin and the owners wanted a fast sale and we wanted a fast buy.  Needless to say I think it was really meant to be. I am so excited to have a big backyard with trees,  running trails that are literally in our backyard, we will be 10 mins from the beautiful Lake Travis, and one of the three swimming pools that are in our development is down the street.

I also can't believe summer is half over with. It always seems that as soon as the 4th of July passes summer goes even faster. Any one else agree?

So, if I could describe your summer in one word what would it be?
Mine would be- roller coaster!
