Life Lately...

Life lately has been a roller coaster with some up and downs these past few weeks but I think we are finally on the up side of things.

Our 4th of July was mostly cloudy with a few rain showers! Yes, rain and it was welcomed with open arms here in the desert.
Playing in the rain

and onto some exciting news...not only will be making the move to Austin in 3 weeks but our offer was accepted over the weekend and it was our 1st pick! This home came on the market the day we arrived in Austin and the owners wanted a fast sale and we wanted a fast buy.  Needless to say I think it was really meant to be. I am so excited to have a big backyard with trees,  running trails that are literally in our backyard, we will be 10 mins from the beautiful Lake Travis, and one of the three swimming pools that are in our development is down the street.

I also can't believe summer is half over with. It always seems that as soon as the 4th of July passes summer goes even faster. Any one else agree?

So, if I could describe your summer in one word what would it be?
Mine would be- roller coaster!

Song of the Heart

With Thanksgiving a mere three weeks away I have been finding myself thinking about all the things I am truly grateful for this year and how I blessed I am. I think if my heart could speak it would be speaking of joy, calmness yet feeling anxious with the arrival of our baby next month, love for others, missing my best friends and family, thinking of my mom on a more frequent basis, how I have never loved my husband more than I do now, and simply feeling truly thankful that God had not let me down and has blessed me with more than I could imagine.

Here's to a Great Week

{image via here}

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to spend this past week and weekend with my family which was a lot of fun. On Sunday, I made my husband homemade pancakes topped with blueberries for his daddy to be breakfast, went to the library to pick up the Little Bee for book club, and I finally watched Avatar with my husband {it was the least I could do as he has watched his fair share of chick flicks with me}. Today, I start my two weeks of tutoring two little girls on reading, and on Tuesday I have a doctors appointment. I can't wait to hear the baby's heat beat again!
Here is wishing you all a fabulous week!

My 100th Post

{Image Via}

I can't believe this is my 100th post! I never thought my new fond hobby of embarking into the blogging world this past fall would be so fun! So thank you all so much for taking the time to read my assortment of postings. I can't wait to continue on in the new year as I share my thoughts, my loves on home decorating, party ideas, baking, fashion, and most of all what is currently inspiring me. XOXO

Happy 2010

Happy New Year! Hard to believe a new decade is starting! For the most part the 2000's treated me well. What I take away the most of this past decade are these events:

*I traveled the world in 2001 when I participated in the Semester at Sea Study Abroad program
*In 2002 I graduated from college with my bachelors
* 2003 I was a working career woman and living with my best friend in Minneapolis and for the first time truly living on my own.
* In 2004 I moved to Phoenix all on my own to embark on a new job and I also became an aunt for the third time.
* In 2005 I met the love of my life and I began my graduate studies (part time) at Arizona State
* In 2006 I got engaged
* In 2007 I became a Mrs.
* In 2008 I graduated with my Masters in Social Work and landed my dream job
* In 2009 I was able to travel to Paris which was always been a dream of mine.

I am defiantly ready to embark on not only a new year but a new decade! 2010 will hopefully treat me well as I will be turning 30 years old in a month from today! I have set some personal goals/ fun things I want to complete before I say good bye to the wonderful twenties. Pretty sure January will be a busy month for me.

What will you remember most of 2009 or of the decade 2000?
