Not just any doorknob

My husband snapped this photo and it has become one of my all time favorites. I can not wait to get it printed and framed. Now do you see why I became obsessed with all these old doors?

Doors of Paris

I had a bit of a door and lamp post photo obsession while I roamed the streets of Paris. (Lamp post shots to follow). Here are two of my favorites.

The wooden door was taken in the Marais area and the blue door is a door to the hospital that is located across from the Norte Dame Cathedral.

What amazed me the most about the various doorways that we saw is when they were open a lot of the doors led to the courtyards of apartment buildings or served as private parking lots. It really makes you wonder what one will see behind each closed door that one passes by. Sort of like in life when they say "When one door closes another one opens" and all we are left with is "hmmm, will I like this door or not?"
