Doors of Paris

I had a bit of a door and lamp post photo obsession while I roamed the streets of Paris. (Lamp post shots to follow). Here are two of my favorites.

The wooden door was taken in the Marais area and the blue door is a door to the hospital that is located across from the Norte Dame Cathedral.

What amazed me the most about the various doorways that we saw is when they were open a lot of the doors led to the courtyards of apartment buildings or served as private parking lots. It really makes you wonder what one will see behind each closed door that one passes by. Sort of like in life when they say "When one door closes another one opens" and all we are left with is "hmmm, will I like this door or not?"

  1. love these doors!! they would be perfect for a picture backdrop!!! :)
love reading all of your posts...

  2. Love the doors, especially the blue ones. Isn't it wonderful to open a door, take a peek inside and it's a whole other world!

  3. perfect pictures
this is what i want to take pictures of too
DOORs, streets signs, did someone say metro signs!?
Paris is so easily to fall in love with.
Thank you for your advice and I'm loving looking through your PAris posts.
