Friday's Party

Today, is my first party post feature and what better way to kick off this weekly feature than with a birthday party!

What I love about this whimsical "Alice in Wonderland" themed party as seen on Hostess with the Mostess is this party can work with any age and any theme {bridal, baby}, and the fun, vibrant colors.

For the Well Heeled Tot

Miss E received the cutest baby gift item ever.... her first pair of high heels!

I have never seen nor heard of heelarious crib shoes for infants until my friend gave Miss E a pair! Apparently, they are also favorites amongst the celebrities. I guess the little ones are learning the fashions of the red carpet even before their first steps!

What I'm Loving This Week

I heart this bracelet. Pretty sure its the ribbon detailing that has me sold!

Do any of you own a favorite piece of jewelry? If so, what is it and why is it your favorite?

My favorite (even though I don't wear them that often) are my pearls. My husband, gave me pearl earrings, necklace, and a bracelet on our wedding day. Every time I wear them or one of the pieces, I'm reminded of our special day. Now that we have a daughter I can't wait to hand them down to her someday.

Spring Shopping

I really need to kick it in gear and lose the last few pounds of my baby weight {and start toning up} as there are a lot of cute spring clothing items hitting the stores and I want it all! Here are some items I am loving from one of my favorite stores, J. Crew.

I should note I was in J. Crew this past weekend with my friend from out of town and my fashion stylist Miss A was working! Love her! After talking to her for awhile my friend from out of town asked how we knew each other by name, and I said "oh her, that is my stylist! She's the one who styled me for my maternity photos and now picks out outfits for me!"

A Year of Well Wishes

Its a special day today for someone {aka Miss.February} that entails getting to sleep in, a husband who is taking the day off from work so we can have a family day, having lunch here where a glass of wine will be enjoyed, and as I say goodbye to what was one of the best years of my life.. new wishes will be wished today for a wonderful new year!

A Girls Weekend Recap

Having a girls weekend was just what I needed. It was a weekend of quality girl time that entailed reminiscing about our Delta Gamma college days {aww such good memories!}, eating lots of good food, treating ourselves to cupcakes, enjoying a bottle of wine, shopping, laughter, enjoying the sun, and most of all enjoying the company of a wonderful friend!

PS: I have discovered a new cupcake shop in town called Caketini and it was wonderful. With my love for cupcakes I was impressed!

Upcoming Celebrations

I am getting giddy for several reasons today:

Miss E had a wonderful week and we have hit the magic 6 week mark where everyone says it gets easier from here.. sleep wise that is! I sure hope so, though I can't complain as she is becoming a good sleeper. Now if we can only get her tummy and gas issues under control as that "fussy hour" is not so fun.

One of my good friends flew in for the weekend to help me out with Miss E and to have our own girls weekend which I greatly appreciate! She is a mom of three handsome little boys, so she is really excited for her own girl time and to escape the frozen tundra! It means so much that she is taking the time to come and spend the weekend with me.

and.. the month of February is only days away which means I have a birthday and what better way to start off a new month than with a birthday?! Which, got me thinking. Since, I love parties and planning them not only for my own life events but for others as well {yes, secretly I would love to be a party stylist/ event planner}that it would be fun to showcase party ideas once a week here on cherry blossoms. After all, who doesn't enjoy a party and love being inspired?!

* I should note..Not only do I have a birthday in February but so does a good friend of mine who happens to be turning 30. She is having a French/ Paris themed birthday party to ring in the special 3-0 and she's treating herself to a week stay in Paris!

Now, if I lived closer I would love to be helping out as I think these would be the perfect invites!
